According to foreign media reports, Renault has begun to develop its energy storage and power grid products. The company is currently committed to creating a "smartelectricisland" with electric vehicles, V2G and energy storage devices. The island is about 5,000 residents, is implementing the "Smart Islands" project for sustainable HKL-free fossil fuels, which is designed to please the energy of all kinds of pollution problems. However, local governments and Renault hopes that the team on the island achieve electrical transformation and adding energy storage equipment, thus using local renewable energy as much as possible.

Renault will implement the project objectives in three phases: First, 20 volunteer users will travel to HKLA, Renault will supply 14 Renault Zoe and 6 Renault Kangooz.e, for the above volunteer users for their daily life. Since EEM and Renault have built 40 public and private interconnecting stations on the island, allowing the above vehicles to benefit from intelligent charging stations.

Second, until the end of 2018, will supply power to the above electric vehicle through the power grid, respond to the puzzle of electric vehicle peak time. In addition to the intelligent charging station, electric vehicles will also be used as a temporary energy storage device. Finally, Renault uses the electric car's waste battery as an energy storage device, and uses it on the Holy Harbor, responsible for the storage of solar power stations and wind power power stations.

The above electrical energy will be used to transport electric power to the grid to deal with local power requirements. Renault proves that waste electric vehicle battery can be used as a storage device, participating in building a local power ecosystem. .
